DX won't load
Published on July 9, 2007 By Jingles In DesktopX
Hello again

My new dillema is DX won't load. I just get a DX has an internal buffer overrun
problem and it shuts down. I thought it might have been from stardock central, but
after removing and replaceing it no luck.ps I also did DX too with reboots. I've
even removed right click because I had deleted a shortcut on it that loaded an
object, because I thought that might have caused it. Still no luck.
I'm out of idea's. I'm going to unload DX again and install it from my back-ups,
but I'm pretty sure it won't work. Also I've redownloaded and replaced all my
back-ups.I've done all this after I deleted all files in DX current theme folder
and it has remained empty on all desktop loading attemps.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Eddie

Open Regedit:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Software\Stardock\Desktopx

-delete the value data in the key "PreviousStartup"

*DO NOT DELETE THE KEY, just the value.

Start DesktopX.

Thanks a million
I went in there and there it was! that stupid sound of a cat purrin
from the the cat desktop. I've got to stop pressing the install button
on the downloads page when their zip files. Dang just heard it again.
Should I check a SD central key too?Or should I just need a restart,
or maybe I should have deleted the address too?

  thanks so far yrag
